Carmelagiri CMI Public School is located on Munnar-Mattupetty state highway. It is about 10 mnts. Drive from Munnar town. The campus is the part of Karandakadu Palace, the summer resort of Travancore Royal Family. 

CMI fathers bought the Korandakadu Palace and 17 acres of land in 1952 from Late.Rani Sethu Lakshmi Bahi, the Princess of Travancore. The school campus is surrounded by Kannan Devan Tea Plantation.  The campus derives its characteristic serenity from its landscape that is blended harmoniously with the surroundings, thus setting the stage for a perfect learning experience.

Admission started for K G to 8th standard Last date 22 March 2010 Entrance test for UKG to 8th standard will be conducted on 27th march 2010 at 9.30 am. Interview for LKG will be conducted on 27th march 2010 at 9.30 am. Plus One courses will be started in the first week of May 2010.
